Membership of the Illawarra Forum Inc. is open to non-profit community-based social or welfare organisations that are based in, or work within the Illawarra region, and to interested individuals. Associate membership (non-voting) is open to government bodies and agencies and to other interested bodies but precluding political parties.Members of the Forum are required to comply with the Forum’s philosophy and aims.The success of the Forum is reliant on the participation of its members. The organisation gains direction for its activities principally from its members and committees.Members benefit by receiving the Forum News newsletter incorporating Management Mag. Members can attend workshops (discount rates); participate in working parties or groups and open meetings. Members can also borrow resources, and receive assistance and advice from the Centre for Community Sector Development.
