The leaf of the Illawarra Flame Tree represents the Illawarra region, the area covered by the Illawarra Forum Inc.The hands in the inner circle are helping, caring hands holding a lot of power and strength. They represent reaching out to those communities on the margins of society. This is the underlying philosophy of the Forum and representative of the Forum’s relationship with the Coomaditchie community.The horseshoe shapes in the outer circle represent coming together, meeting together, working together as a community. It represents how the Forum works, using collaborative, cooperative relationships which recognise and build on the strength of communities.
