Area Assistance Scheme / Community Builders Funding Program.
The Area Assistance Scheme (AAS) was the regional community development program run by the Department of Community Services providing grants for projects that improve community well being and how communities function. The AAS has been replaced by the Community Builders Funding Program. The Illawarra Forum participated in the consultation on the Area Assistance Scheme on May 14th 2009. Community Builders Funding Program
The Community Builders Funding Program is a community strengthening and capacity building program funded by the NSW Department of Community Services. The funding round will open on 2 November 2009. Applications close 10 December 2009.
